Maintaining Youth and Good Health
___We never think when we are young that there will be a time when we are older. We never think of what life will be like at 50 when we are 20. Our minds tell us that is someone else. But in time if we are lucky we do reach age 50.
__Then the reality of being 70 hits home more realistically. We become aware that our time here on earth is not for ever and it is more important that ever to take care of yourself, so that you may enjoy your later years. It is important to have a healthily lifestyle that incorporates a good diet, exercise, and minimal poor practices, because the fatty food, the smoking and the drinking all catch up to you eventually. Many people will say well I had an uncle so and so who smoked and drank all his life and lived to be 98. That may be true but I would say your uncle was that rare luck person who for some unknown reason got away with bad behavior.
__Due to advances in traditional science we are now able to live longer, which is great, but we also want to live well and full. We want to be able to enjoy our time that we spend here. Sometimes people who refer back to the old uncles’ lifestyle don’t take into consideration that there can sometimes be times of long suffering and debilitation before the time of death. So my message to you is to live well, live healthily, and live long.
